migration

Pour effectuer la mise à jour(migration) d'un AIX V5.3 vers une version V6.1, il faut procéder ainsi :

Contexte :

- NIM en AIX V7.3

- Lppsource AIX V6.1 TL9 SP12 et SPOT associé( en ayant pris soin de copier tous les filesets dans le LPPSOURCE).

- Client en Aix V5.3 5300-12-09-1341

Il faut (option) créer un objet 'bosinst_data' pour associer un fichier boinst.data avec les options correctes.

 Il faut ensuite booter la LPAR en mode SMS.

Vérifier que le serveur NIM est bien référencé dans les paramètres de la carte réseau.(

 TFTP BOOT ---------------------------------------------------
Server IP.....................10.3.7.10
Client IP.....................12.2.8.7
Gateway IP....................12.2.8.1
Subnet Mask...................255.255.0.0

 Demander ensuite à démarrer sur la carte réseau, en mode normal.

Prendre l'option 2 pour vérifier les options et notamment que la méthode d'installation est la migration.

Installation and Settings

Either type 0 and press Enter to install with current settings, or type the
number of the setting you want to change and press Enter.

1 System Settings:
Method of Installation.............Migration
Disk Where You Want to Install.....hdisk0

 Puis, lancer l'installation-migration.

Le programme vous affiche une fenêtre pour vérifier les élements qui seront effacés durant cette migration.

Migration Confirmation

Either type 0 and press Enter to continue the installation, or type the
number of your choice and press Enter.

1 List the saved Base System configuration files which will not be
merged into the system. These files are saved in /tmp/bos.
2 List the filesets which will be removed and not replaced.
3 List directories which will have all current contents removed.
4 Reboot without migrating.

Acceptance of license agreements is required before using system.
You will be prompted to accept after the system reboots.

3 -  Liste des répertoires dont le contenu sera effacé.

 Vous avez la possibilité de refuser l'opération et de rebooter en choisissant l'option 4.

 L'installation/Migration va alors se dérouler avant un reboot du système.

 Suivant les systèmes, on peut retrouver plus de 800 filesets à installer.
