'pwmgmt' est un outil de gestion de mots de passe sécurisé tournant sur Linux ou AIX.
Le fichier de stockage est '/etc/pwstore'. En cas d'erreur de récupération,vous pouvez avoir le message suivant lors de la tentative d'ajout d'un compte :
# pwmgmt -sc -n MonCompte -p MonPassword -u root
The passwords' file could not be decrypted. To recover it, you can:
- either recover it with the recover password,
- either migrate it (AIX case if this happen after booting on an alternate
volume, the old_rootvg must be still present in the sytem to succeed).
Those are the only way to recover it. If fails, unlink the file and reenter pawsswords.
Il faut alors effacer le fichier '/etc/pwstore' pour recréer un fichier propre.
Pour vérifier ensuite le contenu, il faut lancer la commande 'pwmgmt -L':
# pwmgmt -L
mtr [CmdLine] -> root
En cas de bascule du disque 'rootvg', il faut récupérer l'ancienne base par la commande 'pwmgmt -m'.
Pour sauvegarder la base, utiliser la commande 'pwmgmt -B'.
Pour lea reconstruction de la base pour le compte 'mtr' par exemple :
root # rm /etc/pwstore
